Pattie Maes is the Alexander W. Dreyfoos (1954) Professor and associate head of MIT’s Program in Media Arts and Sciences. She is the founder and director of the MIT Media Lab’s Fluid Interfaces research group. She is an expert in human-computer interaction and artificial intelligence and is an editorial member and reviewer for many professional journals. Her 2009 TED talk, “Unveiling Game-Changing Wearable Tech” has over a million views. In 2011, FastCompany named her one of the 50 most influential designers.
